STEP actively seeks individuals of all cultures, races, religions, and ethnic origins with outstanding academic preparation and a commitment to working with adolescents in diverse school settings. STEP encourages applicants with a wide range of academic interests, experiences, accomplishments, and interests to apply. Previous experience working with children is a requirement for admissions; prior coursework in professional education is not required.

Numerous individuals and foundations recognize the outstanding contributions STEP graduates make to schools in low-income areas. To learn more about financial aid and fellowships available to defray the costs of enrolling at STEP, click here.
